| Profile Ndidi Dike, art consultant and cultural activist trained at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with a major in painting, but taught herself to sculpt. She assumes and occupies the role of a pathfinder to new understandings and methods of trans-signification of form elements and meanings. She has recently finished work on a sculpture illustrating the scenario where the home folk have grasped the stabilizing post and have drawn themselves up to full height, therefore emerging to take up important career positions in politics, economy, and other productive sectors, as well as engaging in cultural and social activism. Dike's career spans ten solo exhibitions and participation in 50 group exhibits all over the world, in such places as USA, Paris, London, Cuba, Indonesia, Canada, Kenya, Senegal, South Africa. |
