Born in Lagos on june 6, 1975, he is the last son of the late world-renowned artist and sculptor, Professor Ben Enwonwu. A graduate of the University of Lagos, from where he obtained qualifications in Biochemistry and Geophysics, Enwonwu did not attend art school. As a child his father encouraged him to draw and paint upon discovering his outstanding abilities.

Growing up, he spent a lot of time in his father’s studio learning the rudiments of arts. Enwonwu’s canvases are simply a celebration of the rhythmical movements of the female form in dance.
